Q 1. I have considered a young family to understand the risk factors which may be prevalent in it. The family consists of young parents and their 6-year-old son. Considering the family under the light of observation it turned out that the family showed risk factors that would give me a deep understanding of the underlying conditions of the family.

Q 2. In the light of the risk factors that are present in a family, a social worker can implement successful interventions by getting a deep understanding of the underlying risk factors that the family is subjected to. One should act in a way to function as per the members to achieve maximum participation. It becomes vital to have an emotional connection with the family to know their side and then modulate accordingly to gain results.

Q 3. Family system theory is one of the most widely used methodological approaches to deal with vulnerable families. The major credit of this theory is that it deals with both the external and internal factors of the family system as a unit. It focuses on changes to be made rather other focusing on others. It deals with the behavioral, marital, relationship issues in adults. It is less complex and hence has a larger arena to reach out to families in need.

The first risk factor which the family possessed was poverty. The family income was at a cut mark level although both the parents were working and were taking charge of the family. The family income was below the federal line of poverty as benchmarked by the government. There were issues like instability of residence, inconsistency of jobs which added the misery for the family's stable mindset.
